    Ricoh Security

Most of the newer Ricohs have DOSS and HD encryption. They seem to do the same thing and cost the same. Are there reasons to favor one over the other?

I know DOSS scrubs the HDD after each job and some features can't be utilized with it (Document Server and something else, I think). Most of our hospital accounts use it to comply with HIPPA. Encryption option will still allow files to be stored on the HDD but wouldn't (shouldn't?) be accessible to cracking methods (impossible to decipher).
