    filezilla server set up

    Hello~~

i need to install filezilla in my computer in order to connect my computer to multifunctiaonal copy machine.
Copier has scanning function, which uses scan to folder(SMB or FTP)
Many times SMB fails to work. In that case, i need to set up filezilla in my computer for scan to FTP in an
    alternative way.
Pls, let me know how to install filezilla server.

Have you tried directly connecting via ethernet between your laptop and the mfp? This can easily be done by using the same ip segment, ie: 192.168.0.xxx (or any scheme that works for you), and class b netmask, ie: 255.255.255.0. Gateway and DNS is not needed. You can then set the smb scan with the proper username, password (if applicable) and path (required) to connect to the laptop.

I have used this often to test the mfp at customers sites that swear its our product that is the problem. When I test this I have found its the customer network environment 99.5% of the time. I have even done this with a laptop they have let me use.
Ricoh & Microsoft may pay the bills but Un*x saves my ass every day.
