    Type F is for D009/011/012/013, D014/015, D017/018/019/020, D016, D084/085
Basically you plug it into slot 2 on the copier and then go to User Tools->Extended Features to install it. I've been installing it to slot 1, but I'm sure HDD would work fine too.

The only reason to plug it into your laptop is to update the version. Unzip the firmware to a folder on your laptop. Put the card in your laptop and remember which drive letter it is. Launch verup_4xx.exe and it will ask what drive letter the card is in. After you tell it what drive the card is in automatically loads the new version and tells you when its done. Then just put it back in the slot 2 on the copier.
