    256MB SDRAM chip in Ricoh 2022/Lanier LD122?

Does anyone know if a Ricoh 2022/Lanier LD122 can accept a 256MB SDRAM chip instead of the specified 128MB chip?

If so, does the copier take advantage of the extra memory?

If the memory does work it would be fixed at 128MB - same as the HDDs are fixed at their specified useage no matter how big the drive is.

Yes it will accept a 256 Mb RAM, "if the RAM where not to be acceptable, the machine should give a SC819"

Sorry for being a bit dense, but are you saying that you know that a 256MB module will work, or are you saying to try it and see if I get a SC819?
