    Ricoh MPC2050 security codes setup?

    Hey all,

I'm quite new to working with Ricoh's and need to setup user security codes for the above machine. I'm sure it is simple enough but can someone tell me the procedure for doing this?

    thanks in advance.

User Tools / System Settings / Administrator Tools / User Code Authorisation. Set up what functions you would like to be restricted with user codes.

Set up the individual user codes in the address book function. Tell the machine what functions you would like to be available to the individual user on the Auth Info tab. If you set printer user codes on, just make sure you tell the users that they need to put their user code in printer properties or the machine will just ignore the job.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

I believe that Administrator Authentication may need turned on also. This change would require you the 'Log In' as admin, without using a password to make further changes in User Tools. Otherwise anyone can Munkeh with the user codes...

I concur, keeps everyone honest (well, at least the casual user).
