    Savin C2525

My boss just told me he just took over an account that has a Savin C2525 that we will have to maintain, I guess untill he convinces them to buy a Sharp. I have worked on a number of different brands over the years, but not Savin. The last few years just Sharp. Any helpful hints about this particular model so the first time I go there I can at least pretend I know what I'm doing? He also wanted to know about good sources for parts and supplies. I'll need manuals too. I suppose the best thing to do would be to just buy a set. Any info about this machine would be helpful. Also, is this and older machine or new?
I know I should be ashamed of myself. Strangely though, I am not.

Savin is just a rebadged Ricoh. Great machines. Nice color, as long as the customer doesn't try to make it into a color printing press. I heard Sharps are sucky. I would suggest getting a manual. Use black drums for all colors (clip the corner of the connector off) and check the oil supply roller in the fuser and the waste toner bottle when you visit (open front door and remove the screw securing the 'secret' panel to the left of tray 1, open tray 1, then open the panel to expose the bottle). Other than that, just the normal stuff, clean optics (use the long 'toothbrush' inside the front door to get the laser slit glasses), tires, optical sensors, etc., and you should be good to go.
Don't take that toner with me!

Fairly bullet proof machine as long as it's not used as a heavy production color printer! Normal volume, 20k~30k monthly, the machines run like a top.

Worth keeping the optics and charge rollers clean to ensure you don't get lines on copies/prints.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.
