Ricoh Aficio error 322 only on printing

Hi everyone i got error 322 on my ricoh aficio 450 only on printigng when i copy everthing is ok

Ensure the laser beam pitch mechanism is working correctly. This unit copies at one DPI setting but changes resolution when printing. Even though you may not be experiencing codes directly related to the beam pitch mechanism it could be the cause. The pitch adjust could be binding, clean and lube. Reseat laser harness.

Also on those machines the laser unit had sync detectors with a really narrow detection area and I though had been updated to ones that were wider, but couldn't find such a bulletin. Loosening the mounting screws for the assembly and lifting the right corner of the laser unit about 1mm before retightening can help. Perform SP2-109-3 and SP2-109-4, bean pitch adjustment initial setting.

SC 322 has indeed to do with the change of resolution, but also the problem with these OLD models are the connections :
the flatcable on the laserunit is a known issue, just pull it out of the connector and reseat it ( both sides!! ) and most likely your problem is solved.

Thanks for answers but, everthing was good and sudnely start to make this error, PAGES FORM COPIER IT SELF LIKE ERROR PAGE OR COUNTER LIST HI IS PRINTING CORECTLY, any other solution?

Sounds like the polygon mirror motor is going bad. Works at the lower speed but when it tries to spin up for the higher resolution it can't get to the correct speed.

Here is a tech bulletin for that specific error on that model (#10). The 2nd bulletin (#60) has a part number for an updated sync detector board with a wider aperture (as Zed255 pointed out).

I solved many sc 322 problem for this model by cleaning the two laser diode & small glass in the front of this two laser diode.Cleaning means soldering & de soldering of two diodes from the board. You can not clean it by simply using blower brush,small toner dust from this diode and small glass are the reason for this
problem.

I tray to clean it and do that now i get error 322 on copy too, before that i got that error only on print now i got on copy too Please tell me if anyone know is there is posibility that glass that comes in the laser unit to make the problem becouse it is damaged? and for what is that glass?

Are you referring to the lenses inside or the glass strip that slides out the front. The glass strip won't have any bearing on the LD issue, it prevents dust from getting into the unit. You're probably going to be best off by replacing the Laser Unit assembly. These are older units and get tossed/traded in all the time, any chance you can just pull one from another unit?

The only way to clean the small glass completely is desoldering the 3 pins of two laser diodes.This glass is
controlling the beam of laser diodes.

Thanks too all you gays, i opened agean laser unit clean well every detail, clean all inside of copier well reconected all cables , and finily niw is fine everthing work perfectly bouth copy and print

get the LD unit and then clean it clearly detach the gun from the unit and clean it and mirrors and also clean mirrors inside the gun.
