    [Electrical] MPC3500, no HDD

Recently we recieved a copier from a 3rd party which was missing both HDD. The questions are;will any HDD work,is there a min size and will the copier format upon power up?
    Thanks in advance.

PS: probably missing due to the CBS report about copier hard drives being harvested for confidential info.

are at least the mounting devices and cables present? its a raid 0 system, you need two 40 gb hds, they will be formatted at the first start. maybe, larger hds work, never tried it. but give it a try, ricoh takes a shitload of bucks for spare hds

Thanks, I pulled the HDD from a parts machine and had to format in service mode because it had been in use. I still plan on trying other drives.

      Happy vacuuming,
