i've had no end of trouble with these POS - straight from the box there crap! Every time its been the same thing main pwb. Its a bit*h to strip down and the value of the m/c is scrap value anyway.

I've had: sending problems - main pwb
            White banding - main pwb
            receiving problems - main pwb

they are crap - another reason why i hate samsung products - WTF did ricoh stick there name to it?

yeah i hate these with a passion!

Problem solved while I was on vacation. Turns out that the main board that was sent to us from another machine also had the same problem. Ricoh sent us another complete machine to try parts out, and the main board from that machine worked fine.

Thank you all for your replies.

                hi,
have you tried to calibrate the scanner? If all of the things that said above are already been done. The last sort of act is try to do Gen. Init. then reboot the machine and try to test print(setup). check if still blank.

Apparently yes. When I swapped the first mainboard (the one I didn't know was broken) the problem didn't go away. But when my colleague swapped the second mainboard, the machine worked okay.

These machines are horrible little things. I've had one that sat there and said "Waiting File", did nothing else until I changed the main board. What a bitch.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

                        Hit it.
