    Ricoh Aficio 240W ScanTool Error

I;m trying to install the ScanTool software onto a computer. Plotbase/PlotClient both install fine, I'm able to plot from other computers.
When I run the ScanTool program an Error Report pops up....
RSP: The registry is empty or no valid RSP file found
RSP: The registry is empty or no valid RSP file found
    System\CurrentControlSet\Services\RATIO_RSP\SCANBA SE_1_5_RICOH

....I have our RSP file on a floppy disk. The disk contains a License.rsp. I've ran the installation where I am able to browse for a *.rsp file to install and it tells me the license is already installed.
I'm not sure what else to try, and I'm going a little bit nuts.

    Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

As far as I'm aware the only other option is to download the .rsp from www.rspfiles.com after inserting the serial on your documentation or on the the actual PCI card...

Unfortunately I think that they have ceased all support to this site and thats all I can tell you.

Hopefully someone els may have a little more info as I need info on the RSPFILES site also..

    Good luck.

      Serendipity,

I'm havig a similar issue upgrading Plotbase 3.0.25 to 3.7.10. Steve G is right Ratio have gone to the wall and relicencing may be an issue. However Ricoh Japan have a licence database. Providing you have the serial number for the interface your Ricoh tech support should be able to sort your licence out.

        RATIO America is still here

If you need a license file copy, you can either get it from Ricoh or email the controller serial number to support@ratio.us

Regarding the original question on this thread, did you ever purchase / register the Scan license for this controller? If so, then we'll have it in the database. The license manager can seem to behave a bit oddly if your not used to it, but once you apply the full license, your Scantool applications hould be fine
