C7570 Savin Full Color: Failed message during K developer fill

I am having an issue getting the new developer to load on a C7570. I did a full PM on the black PCU and developer unit and followed the manual step for step since this is the first time that I've done this process and the developer fill will not initilize. As soon as you hit the execute button the FAILED message pops up on the screen. I'm at a loss as to what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

when this process fails, i usually just go into 5804 and turn on the K dotor and medium spped and fill it that way. then follow the manual for developer initialization. some of our other techs just manually fill the dv unit and skip the automated process.

That's what I ended up doing.....just put it in manually. Seemed to do the tick.
      Thanks

Did you have the transfer lever rotated down when you did it? You'll get an error if you don't.

If you don't do that I think it tells you to all the toners are empty when you turn the machine on.

Yes, I believe you're right about that. The pm on this model is so convuluted, you'll get an error if you forget to do the hokey pokey and turn yourself around......

The dumbest thing is i'm sure they were trying to make it easier to setup than the 3260 but you still have to pull the face plate off to remove a retainer anyway so you end up not really saving much.

Has anyone had any after effects by manually filling these dev units ? Our rep tells us you will such overtoning. All of our techs have had it with these machines, how could they go so backwards from the B132 ?
