    Ricoh Aficio 1045

Customer had a Dell MFP1125 and are wanting to transfer their fax director from the Dell to the Ricoh Aficio 1045 without having to go through the long process of putting them in one at a time into the Ricoh. Is this possible? They are also wanting to be able to send a fax to multiple people by basically selecting the people they want to send the fax to and hitting the print button without having to punch in the fax numbers. I guess what they want is for the numbers to be saved in the directory and to just be able to select who they want to send a fax to and then send it. Can this be done with this copier? Any help appreciated, thank you.

I don't think there's a way of getting the address book off another manufacturer's machine and uploading to a machine as old as an Adonis-C2. With regard to sending to multiple numbers, it should be just a matter of adding the destinations into the address book (on memory transmission mode) and selecting them on the fax screen, putting in the original then bashing the start button.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

1045 won't upload contacts. Program numbers then program group numbers from the one touch already programmed.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

If the 1075 supports Smart Device Monitor and Dell Supports output of the addressbook to a CSV file it Might be possible. That is a LOT of If's. I've seen a Canon to a Savin work like that before.

IF that doesn't work. Print out customers Fax list, program it for them, Create the Groups they need and be done with it.

TonerMunkeh is right. The address book formats are different. If you could download it from the dell as a csv file, you would spend many hours formatting it for the ricoh. it would be much faster just to input the numbers.

once you have created the address book, put fax in DF, select all of the addresses, and then hit the green button.
