Aficio 2027 - Scan to email - need help

    Hi guys,
I recently installed a aficio 2027 with full connectivity printer/scanner/fax in my customer office.
I managed to set up scan to folder on most of the computers using winXP, Vista Homebasic, Win 7 Home.
Somehow not able to setup scan to email. Has anyone here can provide me some help on the steps to setup the scan to email. Thanks in advance

I do this via the WIM, and the following usually does it:

      TCP/IP settings:
      Machine IP address
      Subnet mask
      Default gateway (router IP)
DNS Server (often the same as router IP address)

      Email Settings
      :
      Admin email address
      reception protocol (set to off)
      Smtp Server name
*Note: if the email account requires authentication, then you will also have to input the SMTP Username and password

Then add your email destinations in the address book.

Search this site for a lot more information.
There are free e-mail sites that have no authentication.
This saves a lot of headaches.
I can email to a site with no authentication, but not to a email with authentication.
Then I know the problem is with settings and not hardware problem.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

The first thing to ask is who the customers ISP is, i.e. who provides them with internet connectivity. If it ATT Uverse, ATT blocks ALL port 25 SMTP. This is the standard non-SSL port for sending email. ATT also requires SMTP over SSL which the 2027 does not support. You will need to have your customer setup an email with another email provider that can supply SMTP on a port other than 25, usually 465, or use Stunnel. You can do a Google search for Stunnel.
