    [Misc] Restrict access from printing

    Hello All,
I work on Aficio 3245C. My customer would like to set up the machine that every time they sending out a print job from the computer, user code must be entered before it can printed.
Can someone show me how to do that? thanks.

Ok, I cobbled together a tutorial on setting up user authentication (for this particular model) into a word document. Generally this procedure is the same across most models. I take all blame for omissions and errors, I basically copied and pasted different elements for the Global Knowledge Base. Please feel free to update with anything that is incorrect.

Or you could send it as a Locked Print job and the user would have to enter a code at the mfp to retrieve the print job.

I assumed they wanted to have a record of who's printing what, but Kayjaig didn't give specifics. Lock Print won't keep track of print clicks, but maybe all they want is to not have the print jobs out in the open before the user retrieves them.

Yes, They do want to keep record of how many pages each user has printed. I follow Teebee user code setup file and got it work perfect.

            Thanks all.
