Set it up as a printer (to establish connection ---prints OK)
Use the web based utility to set up scan to mail (SMTP & POP3)
Using the account which is working (tested using outlook on my laptop)
Set up SMTO: user, password and port
Set up POP3: user, password and port
When I tried to send an email after manually inputting address I get a massage

What is that is there a step I need to set up????

need to specify administrator email address (which can be any valid email address) and turn on auto specify sender name both of which should be in file transfer

As nallard84 stated, you need to either put in an ADMINISTRATOR email address, which can be done thru the WIM, and on th econtrol panel turn on the SPECIFY SENDER to on. This may be in File transfer or in scanner User tools.
Or set each DESTINATION as a SENDER under protection in the WIM address book. then you can choose who you are sending as. Also if you turn on USER CODE mode for scanner, and assign a separt user code to each user, when they enter their code at teh copier, their email address will automaticly be the SENDERS email address.
