    MP9000 Scan settings to PDF

How do you change the default Scan settings from TIFF to PDF?

From the copier control panel, we see

    Scanner Features
    Initial Setttings
    (Menu Protect(greyed out)) Level 2

We can not get past this greyed out area. Any suggestions?

What does the Level 2 mean?

    Thanks,

Getting your hands on the operating instructions for this beast wouldn't do any harm, the instructions for changing the type is in there.

Anyway, if you press the scanner button I think there's a button that says "send file type" or similar on the left hand side of the screen. Set it to PDF, then set it to default using the Program Defaults key.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

I have a used (new to me) Toshiba eStudio 901 version of the same Ricoh copier. I do have many of the instruction and Service manuals but I am having a hard time running down all of the details as the copier is quite different from what I am used to.

      Thanks,
