    scanrouter - 2018D

have scanrouter set up to scan to folder with 3 destinations programmed in. works great 99% of the time but occasionally the destinations disappear. I have to delete then reinstall the device to get them to show on the mfp again.

any thoughts on what's causing this?

Is the host for the Scanrouter configured for DHCP? If so configure it with a static IP or create a reservation for it.
The MFD uses the IP address to communicate to Scanrouter ( It can be viewed in User Tools>System Settings>File Transfer>Delivery Option).
Should this change when the DCHP lease expires communication would fail and addresses would be lost.

      X2 for the static IP.

MFD and pc are both set with static ip's.
So if connectivity is lost for any reason the destinations are gone? The destination list dosn't repopulate when connectivity is reestablished?

Are they disappearing from the control panel of the copier or the destination list of the scan server? If the former, then the copier is losing connection to the scan server. If the latter, I dont know, and have never encountered that.

Disappearing from the copier control panel. Definately seems to be a connectivity issue then, so i know where to start looking. Thx for the replies

The MFDs network configuration may be corrupt.

Remove the MFD as an I/O device from scanrouter. Print out the config page from the MFD. Then clear the NCS, SP 5801-011, Scanner SP 5801-009 and Web service/Network settings, SP5801-010. Reboot the MFD, input the network settings and add back into Scanrouter.

If you're still having issues I would suspect the port on the switch that the MFD is connected to.

If you suspect a bad port (and I would too at this point) you could PING the ip with the -T switch and it will PING continuously while you watch the results.
