    ricoh 1045 not recognizing duplex

Hi guys, i have a ricoh 1045, recently refurbed by our refurb team (not engineers) and when they put the machine together, it will not recognize duplex. I have checked the mc with another duplex and i get the same prob, its not selectable from the touch screen menu. I went to sp mode output check and i could operate the solenoids and motors on the duplex, but on the main screen its not an available function. Any suggestions??

You might just be missing the touch screen shortcut keys for the duplex.
As those touch screen keys can be customised from within the user tools.

I will check this but im sure that when i did have a quick look, i returned the settings to the factory defaults (user tools- hash and copier settings)

Thanks for the input and the graphics Daz

Check the hard drive connections. The machine will not recognize the duplex without a hard drive. Hope this helps also.

You won't get those buttons if you don't have a hard drive. Also check the connections on the duplex pcb and on the connector on the machine the wire harness can be disconnected from the connector inside the machine.
