[Error Code] CLP 240 d Savin Code Reset...HELP!!

I changed the printer's toner but the digital screen reads that the magenta color is empty when in fact is new). I need the steps (and the code) to reset the toner reading screen to see if that works. Now, if that doesn't work; anyone have any ideas on how to go about it?? Thank you.

There is no way to reset toner end on this machine. It either needs a new toner pump or a replacement PCU. Are you using original Ricoh toner in it?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

I tried a Ricoh toner and a generic and both failed. It gives me a "?" message on the magenta color, as if is not reading it. Please excuse my ignorance as I'm not an experience tech guy; what is a PCU and a toner pump? Is that something easy to replace? Thanks again.

Not to be-little you but if your not familiar with the term PCU (photoconductor unit) and what a toner pump is you will not be able to clear the indicator if it does have a mechanical. First thing what exactly does the display message say?

Thank you for the education; I sincerely appreciate it. I'm very proficient in technology, but not on printers. Yes, I know now what the PCU is and how to replace it, Nevertheless I have to confess that I don't know what the toner pump is. More education on that one will be greatly appreciated. The digital indicator reads that the black PCU needs changing and the color "soon needs replacement". We will do that. The digital screen shows a question mark "?" on the magenta color, instead of showing the toner level. Do you think that replacing the PCU's will "cure the patient"? Thanks.

            Generic toner

It might clear the indicator just make sure you are using ONLY genuine Ricoh or Savin brand supplies depending on your branded machine. If that does not clear the indicator I suggest you place a service call with a trained technician on this product.
