hi everyone i went to a customer who was using scan to folder and email on a MPC2050 to thier laptop. they decided to get a new laptop (xp pro service pack 3 os) so i went to set everything up again. all i had to do was to create a folder give full permissions and share it and then change the ip address path in the address book.also set it up to print with no problems. i can't get it to scan to folder and when i copy and paste the path from the address book to the run dialog box another box pops up and asks for the username and password again which isn't the name and password for the user cause they don't work when entered.only one user on the laptop but when they log in they do have an option which says "computer name (this computer)" which they don't use and another option that they do use. I'm waiting to speak to thier IT people because the user doesn't really know much but any help before i do speak to them would be helpfull.
