    I haven't noticed a battery on the MPC Series NV-Ram PCB but I don't have a photographic memory of course^^

    That would be a great tip in case that is right - I have a buggy NV-Ram in the shop so I check it out. Thanks for the input so far!

        Update: I wasn't able to locate any battery on the controller board NVRam PWB.
