We have been trying to get the Ricoh 9000 to accept a keypad through the coin-op connector. We did get settings from the third party manufacturer but belive they are wrong. The machine will not recognize the key pad device. We have had the 9000 recognize this device before but a power outage has taken it back to factory default. Please help.

Did you enable it in User Tools? I believe it's in System Settings>Administrator Tools>Key Counter Management. -
just found out today that the external device was unplugged from the coinop connector at the back of the 9000. When the connection was broken while the 9000 was on we think this caused a internal error. We disconnected the external device from the machine and now the 9000 will make one copy and then show a sc901 error which translate to a mechanical counter error. now we are completely baffled.Comment

You can disable mechanical counter detection by changing SP5-915 to 0. Did you change everything back to default settings in User Tools (turn off external device) and SP5-113 back to "0"??Comment
