    lanier/ ricoh cross reference

    I got a Lanier 6713, 7828, and a 1140 multi func given to me...on route..does anyone know if they are the same as a Richo ?

          My in laws and wife are from somewhere over there...beer seems to run in their family! I'll say Hi from 1 German (you) to others (them) Its 2 in the afternoon and just started to rain outside..and one more call to do...sigh!

            The 6713 is a Toshiba 1340, analog not MF, the other numbers do not compute

                  As stated before 6713 is Toshiba, 7828 (probably 7328 or 7228) is also Toshiba. The 1140 is really more considered a fax, made by Casio.

                  FYI, you aren't going to provide service to these are you? You'll be lucky to find parts...

                    Could be a Fax 1140L, that's a Ricoh.
                    It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

                      Yea, that's confusing. I know Lanier 1140mfd was just a souped up fax with a Casio engine, the Ricoh "I think" was just a smaller fax and more recent in age. Don't quote me on this....

                        I said I would take them before I knew what they were...so I went from a company hero to a who knows what ....hmmmm They are a great customer so we cant really say no...but the owner says too bad..I also inc free pick up....ugh! Now I feel really bad...I should give my pay cheque back ....on second thought lets forget that idea
