    MP2000LN And DOS

    Hello,

I can not print with my MP2000LN from a DOS application.
I installed the driver PCL6 DDST its not working.
I also installed the driver DDST is the same.

    The communication port is 10001.
    I can print in Windows.
I can not print in DOS

    How to print from DOS?

Unfortunately, DOS is not supported on this model.

Use the Protocol LPR, queue is lp (low case).

I'm not sure but maybe with PCL option you can print from DOS.
It's assumption. I never tried it.

DDST will not work with DOS; you would need the PCL option.

DDST is a "Windows only" thing.

what you may be able to do is to take your results from dos and print then to a text file which you can then print to the device. It would go something like this. You can typi ipconfig and that would give you your ipaddress, but if you typed ipconfig >c:\ip.txt that would give you a text file on the root of c called ip.txt and you could print that. You could also try redirecting your lpt port with a net use command and see if you could print to the port which would then be set to send the data to the device. You can also try a generic text driver and point that at your device. Dos applications can always print to the generic driver and all devices that I know of can interprit that driver.

That would normally work IF the machine had a PCL interpreter in it, but it does not.

Worth a try, but I doubt that the machine will be able to do anything with the data.
