    [Error Code] RICOH AF2022 Error Codes...Help

    I'm getting the following error codes:
    SC925, SC872, SC870 and "problem with hard disc" message.
    I've read that I should print an SMC report. What is an SMC report and how do I print it?

    It looks like i have a bad hard drive. Is this likely the case? Also, what do each of the above error codes mean?

      Well, if you're not a tech and have never worked on these devices before then I don't recommend you attempt repair (those are all hard drive related errors).

      Having said that, a tech would power off and disconnect the hard drive then boot back up. If it comes to ready then he/she knows the drive is kaput - they can replace it with a standard off the shelf compatible type. You won't be able to print anything as long as the SC codes are present. Getting into service mode can cause you trouble if aren't familiar with it and change settings you shouldn't. Beyond that, I can't offer any more suggestions.
