    Hello,

I have a question about the two printers we have in our offices. One is an LD118 and the other is LD118d. Is there any other method to use the scanning feature instead of using Scan Router Lite v2? We always have problems with this program, such as the services getting suspended on it, and it stops working, at least 3 times a week.

As far as I know, these are not capable of using the SMB feature in the address book, correct?

Are there any other options we can try so that we can minimize the problems with scanning?

Correct, these models do not support smb scanning. your best bet is to setup scan to email.

If you are having suspended services issues.Try the following. When loading the scan router program ensure you select "launch at Startup" instead of the default option "launch from Program Folder" , this should help with suspended services issues.

ScanRouter seems to run best on a Windows 2000 box, likely due to the relative lack of security and decent stability. If it isn't running on Win2k already you could see if there's an old copy around and try that, and choose to run as service so a user doesn't have to be logged in.
