mp 161 and mp 1515f

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew if these two have compatible power supply boards? I placed a MP 1515f PS board in a MP 161 and it works just fine! My supplier says this is a bad idea I guess different part numbers. If all possible can I get part numbers for power supplies for both machines. Supplier wont give me the manu. part numbers.. Thanks

There may just be component differences for cleaner power or higher current draw (just guessing).

Boards are interchangeable...running an MP161 in my own office with an aficio 1515 power supply for over a year now.
