Ricoh Aficio MP5500 at remote site - scans failing over 15 pages

We have a Ricoh MP5500 at another site connected to our main site via VPN.

If we scan more than about 15 pages or so, the scan fails.

Fewer pages works fine, so it is not an issue with login credentials.

I turned off the Scanner Auto Reset Timer and the System Auto Reset Timer at the suggestion of Ricoh, but that did not help.

    Any ideas?

Thank you for you prompt reply.

Max. Reception E-mail Size is set to 2MB, but we are using scan to folder, not scan to email.

Is there another setting that you are asking for?

I'm also not aware of any max file setting for SMB-scanning.

If you're using scan-to-email you should switch off the max email size in the Scan Settings. The Reception Email Size is for reception of email. In the Scan Settings - Send Settings you'll find the max email size for sending email.

If you're using a VPN, could be a timeout related issue - if you decrease the scan resolution and color depth can you scan more than 15 pages?
