Mpc2500 - sc681-01

Hello

I have an MPC2500 with code-SC681-01.
I try to change the maps: BICU, controller card and RFID card but there is always the same failure.

It also displays a jam in the sorter, but there has never been a sorter on this machine.

Have you any idea?

The manual suggests it could be faulty toner chip.

Did you get sorter jam message before you replaced parts?? Am thinking maybe dip switches need adjusting.

try the toner surply pump. , as for the finisher replace the switches in the bridge unit if it has one.

i've experienced the same problem .first the machine was displaying on supplying toner (Bk). after replace toner , it

comes out sc681-01. i replace the another one (both are the genuine parts). it is still on sc681-01. what can i do .

any reply i'll appreciate.

i've solved problem after replacing the harness (between bicu to IOB ). finally it works again ,everthing is OK

Thanks z_ming. We had the same problem on the same machine and replacing the ribbon cable between the BICU and the IOB fixed the problem.

The problem occurred after the tech replaced the fuser plug harness.

My guess is when he unplugged the BICU so he could get to the back to replace the fuser loom, he missed unplugging the ribbon cable and when he swung the panel out, it ripped the ribbon cable out and damaged it.

Anyway it's all working now and we all learned something.
