gestetner mp 2510 multifunction

I'm having problems with this multifunction. When
receiving faxes it will give me half pages or just a
portion of a page. Then it'll come the report with
error code like 06-00 or 00-88, or00-83. I suspect a
memory prob, but not sure. Please help. Thanks

Try turning off ECM, it just causes more headaches than anything else.

It really shouldn't be necessary to turn of ECM. It's purpose is to correct transmission interruptions and errors. What you probably have is a noisy phone line. Check that first, clean the line connections and also try hooking up a handset to the wall jack and listen to the dial tone for noise. Most times it's the customers service that is the issue.

Yes most likely the phone line with noise. We get the phone company to install noise chokes on the line to supress noise and this usually works
