Aficio 2238 - Replace black toner sign on.

Dear fellow techs,
I have 2 units aficio 2238 which are displaying "replace black toner" even though i have replenish with new black toner cartriage. What are the main causes? Is there any problem with the toner supply tube, air pump or valves? Thanks in advance

My screen has an ad for "Solar Energy Charity", as part if the banner across the top. Do you see, what I assume to be a mistake. I believe the creator of the ad meant "through" rather than "though". I don't know all the error messages exactly letter by letter but, will you read exactly what you see on the console display?

This has to be a 2238c (as in color)

You could have a couple of things going on here. 1. Is toner being pumped? Check toner pump functionality, check the feed tube from the k toner unit to the pump and clean it out. You may have some toner clogging the tube. Check the density sensor voltage, if its high (4.0v or higher) then its not seeing toner being added to the development unit which would lead you back to the pump. Also make sure that the toner is not clumping in the bottle. Shake it well.

In section 6.2.6 of the service manual it goes over toner near end, toner end and lastly toner recovery conditions.

Highly unlikely, but still a possibility....the dev units many not be turning, either due to clutch failure or dev unit failure.....
