need suggestion on RICOH AFICIO 700

Above is the specs for this machine.

Let me introduce myself first, I'm a totally newbie in copier machines and I need to get a machine which could print around 10,000 copies a day.

I would like to ask is this machine suitable to do the job?
I only need to print B&W and also I will print it on A3 paper front and back.

Is this machine good enough and is the paper jam rate high for this machine ?

I would recommend buying a more recent model. If you want to print with this machine, it only supports Win95/98, 2000, NT4, Macintosh.

This model is vastly outdated. To print the kind of volume you're on about, you need at least a 2090 or 2105.

It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

10,000 prints is just the maximum I estimate I would do, actually I'm not going to buy the machine, it is a re-cond machine and I am planning to lease. The problem with outdated machines is just hard to get the parts, am i right ? In my case, maintenance is provided by my supplier.

I would ask my supplier to offer you a more recent model. Because this is an old machine, the chance of malfunctions is going to be greater. And like TonerMunkey said, you need a bigger machine.

Eric's spot on with what he says. The 2090 is more or less a beefier model of the 700. Obviously faster. The 700's great downfall is if you really cane it, the waste blocks up leading to long service calls to strip it out and clean it. The 2090 however will require PM calls, so a service contract would be a must. They ask for them every 350k or so, depending on how the supplier sets the machine up. I would make that point with the supplier when asking about the machine.

To summarise, forget the 700. They're nearly 10 years old (if not older) and wouldn't take the stick you want to give it. The 2090 or 2105 are the machines you need in your environment.
