Two things, first its "1993" not "1992" and second those panels have a history of going bad and the symptom is no response.

I've had so many issues with those friggin touch screens/op panels. If the calibration doesn't work(which it looks like you tried it already), then it has to be replaced. I work for a wholesaler, and see this issue with a lot of Ricoh boxes. Something with the adhesive they used I think is what the issue is. Try a search on this site(if you havn't already) for this issue. I know I've opened a thead on the same issue a bit ago... hope this helps

        SYMPTOM

The LCD touch detection mechanism does not work correctly, or the panel does not respond at all.

        Note:
This issue affects all AT-C1 machines.

        CAUSE
The adhesive that binds electrodes to the touch panel surface contains a polymer that
tends to expand under normal office environmental conditions.

        SOLUTION In the field:
        Replace the touch panel

        Service parts:
The adhesive was changed to one that will not expand under conditions of standard office environments.

Old Part Number: D0291494 New Part Number: B2239900 ricoh will exchange the touch with no costs.

I have replaced well over 50 of these panels for this exact problem. At least they are easy to do.

One other thing of note, the panels that have had the problem have a brown end on the connector and the new good ones are white.
Ricoh & Microsoft may pay the bills but Un*x saves my ass every day.
