    Linux operating systems and Ricoh MFD

    Hi every one doese any have that king exsperiance i set up printing with out problem on ubuntu 10.04 but i cant scan with aficio 1224c bilt in scaner

    You can setup scan to email but to scan to folder you will need ScanRouter lite. I have tried using wine on CentOS but it was a no go. Email is pretty much your only option. The operators manuals are available on many of the Ricoh sites and the setup for email is in there. Good Luck

      No reason that you can't scan to folder in Linux. In fact, I have a customer scanning to folders on a Fedora Linux machine with no issues at all.

      Of course, the 1224 can't scan to folder - email only.

      Scan Router Lite was great in its day, but that time has long passed. There are simply too many issues to try to deploy it with any modern computers or OSes.

        Please can somebody explain me step by step or send me tutorial becouse i cant find hot to set up scan to email on ricoh aficio 1224c

          Check Ricoh Support - plenty of instructions there.
