    Aficio 1515 scanning question

    Looking at all of the posts regarding this scanner there are no questions asking if it will scan using the USB connection. I don't think it will but I only work on a few Ricoh's. Anyone have a definitive answer for me? Thank you for your time and effort in this matter.

      USB is only used for printing. For scanning you must use the NIC. You can scan-to-email and Network-Twain. You can scan to folder but then you must install Scan-Router (which I don't recommend).

          Thanks Eric. That's what I thought but could not verify for sure. They are getting a different router so I can set up their network, I have a few days to review the scan to email, which I believe is what she wants actually.
