Well, this one's ticked off at me now! I calibrated the machine last week, after replacing the clutches in the rear of the machine. I knew I had to come back and PM the machine this week, but wanted to calibrate it anyway because it had been a long time since it had been done. So I did and things were happy.
Well, after PM'ing the machine, running all the initializations and everything getting an 001 (good thing), I reset the ACC to factory defaults. Come out and go to auto calibration in user tools. The machine runs the self check and spits out the pattern. I place the pattern on the glass, as the picture shows and as I did the week prior, and when the machine scans the pattern it says the pattern is turned the wrong way. Well, I check it and it's on the glass right, so I lower the lid and try again... it then tells me to start over. I make a fiery test print and everything looks great, no trash or anything. I make a copy and of course it looks like crap. So I try again... same thing. I even tried placing it the wrong way, still... same thing!
There's nothing about this in the tech manual, so I checked the Goose's Guide and reset the connections on the IPU and CCD. Same result! I know the size detect sensors are working, because it correctly selects different size paper when placed on the glass.
I'm at a loss here guys. What the hell did I do to this thing? Has anyone else out there seen this? If so, how did you resolve it. Without using a hammer or a large truck.
