    MP2000 DDST

This is a new machine I set up today and even tho the BICU's firmware is up to snuff, I like to flash it anyway. The procedure is to insert the card, hold down the op panel button and turn the main switch on. I do that and the card is not recognized, Nothing, Nada.
Next I reloaded the firmward on the Flash card. Same-o. Next I tried SP5827-1 (Program Download) at Execute I get "Loading error"
Next I get another Flash card, load the firmware and try again. Samething. No response when I try to let it auto-detect and Errors when I use the SP mode.
    What can be the problem.
It is a DDST and doesnt have the PCL option.

Thanks iMind, this dog is the "lite" version and uses the old 4M Flash card instead of the SD card.

That may be it iMind. The printer/scanner update is done from the left side of the controller, the BICU is done from the rear (remove the small plastic cover with the plastic rivet). What say you Jomama?

No there is a single slot on the controller box, on the left side below the RJ45. Definitely for a 4M Card. No small cover on the rear.

sorry to say but there must be a slot on the back of the machine, right before the trays, the one under the nic is for printer firmware updades.

I know you must be right, its the only thing that makes sense. However, the machine is shrink wrapped and ready to ship but since I will be the one to set it up on site, I will remove the back cover and check it out.

No problem, I didn't know any of this until you posted your issue. Your problem led to my education.
