    MP171SPF Addressbook error

    Hi there guys

Has anybody experience a SC 997 addressbook error on the MP171. I have had 3 machines this month doing this. Restarting the machine usually fixes it but still, would prefer it does not do it at all.

    Thanks

This is what i get for INFO on the SC CODE.

    • Software for that application is
    defective

    • An option required by the application
(RAM, DIMM, board) is not installed.

    • Too complicated nest of the fax group
    address

    1. As for the fax operation problem,
simplify the nest of the fax group
    address.

    Best Regards!

I had this once on a mp171 and did the following procedure:

      1. backup nvram data on sdcard
      2. performing memory all clear
      3. restoring nvram data via sdcard

I didn't backuped and restore the adress book because I wasn't shure if the data may be corrupted so I programmed some new scan-to-folder and fax targets. So far I didn't heard from the customer again that's why I suppose the machine is running stable now.

A colleague of mine had a case where he had to replace the main board, but since you don't always get that trouble, that's probably not the case with your machines.

          Re: MP171SPF Addressbook error

I get an Addressbook error each time the fax was sent to an invalid number. When this error appears, I can't send any fax or e-mails until I reset the device.
Somebody knows how to fix this error without reseting the device?
