    Fiery E-8100 Address Backup.

Does anyone know of a way to backup the address book resident on the Fiery controllers?

I had to upgrade a E-8100 to version 1.11 and utilized the backup/restore feature in Command Workstation but that did not backup the address book. After the upgrade, I lost my scan to folders

You're right - you can't back them up for later recovery. You'd think that Command Workstation would help here, but no banana.

However, a thought just occurred to me (a rare occurrence, I know ). Since the E8100 is a Windows based RIP, I would think that somewhere on the HDD is a file containing the address book.

(The E7100 / 7200 is Linux based, so that would be nearly impossible to easily get a look at.)

Hopefully, it's a human readable file, and not binary or a registry entry.

Try logging in using Remote Desktop (or FACI, if so equipped), and look around.

I'll get a look, as well.

Maybe we'll get lucky and find it!
