[Jamming] Ricoh aficio 3245C Jam 003

    Hi!

    I have a problem with a aficio 3245c that's jams from tray 1.
I have tried to change the rollers and clutches i tray 1 without any luck.
    Any ideas?

    Best Regards

Is the paper leaving the tray? Is it getting to sensor 1? Have you replaced sensor 1?

If it's not feeding out, check the the lever in the rear inside frame that the tray contacts when it's inserted. If it's broken, that will prevent the pickup roller from dropping. Also, there is a TB to add a shim to the rear of the tray for better contact. The tray gets sloppy over time and too much play will prevent full contact with the lever resulting in the pickup not fully dropping to the top of the stack.

It dosn't jam every time, but when it jams, the paper dosn't leave the tray.
I can copy 20 copies whitout stop sometimes and then i jams and i just have to open and close the machine.
        Do you have that TB?

Had the same problem. Replaced Feed Clutch and rollers but no result. Replaced the whole Paper Feed Unit : problem gone.

Check the mylar on the feed guide.. I've had it wear before and cause inter. jamming.

there is a gear with a one way bearing on the feed tire shaft. the gear drives the small gear then the pickup roller. if it starts slipping the pickup roller doesn't turn. try cleaning the one way bearing/gear. i've seen this a couple of times recently.

Here are 2 TB's, but after rereading the OP, I'm not sure if this will fix your issue. Though these bulletins concern false empty paper condition, but I have had misfeeds due to the same thing. The pickup lever may drop down enough to trigger paper present but not put enough pressure on the paper to feed it. One other thing to check is the guide plate as ucinn stated, the mylar on it can get nicked/bent and cause a jam as it feeds out.
