Are you using Adobe Reader 9? If so, a search of the web shows this to be an issue with this version. Try opening it with an older version, I don't think it's a problem with the device. If this happening at a customers site then I bet this didn't happen until the recently upgraded Adobe . I get calls about once a year because of some pdf viewing issue, and it always coincides to a recent version upgrade. It probably wouldn't hurt to make sure the firmware is up to date.Last edited by teebee1234; 10-29-2010, 02:39 AM. -
To confirm if it's an issue with the mfp, set up your laptop with a crossover to it and send a scan directly to it (you will just have to temporarily add a new scan path to it in the address book). If it opens on your pc ok, then send it as an email attachment to yourself and check it again. At least you'll know where the responsibility lies by taking their network out of the equation.Comment

same problem with a MPC2500
I have the same problem with a mpc2500. The customer has two machines, one works but on the other will error of about 30% of all scanned documents. In multi-page documents functions that read all sides except one side. either front page or any page in the document. It therefore seems to be in the mpc because one works. both use the same SMTP.
