    Document server setup

I know this is probably a stupid question but can anyone help me with the setup of a document server for an Aficio 1224c. I have a client that recently aquired one and the Doc Server IP is set and I cannot find where to change it. Please help. Thanks in advance. I think i have looked in every user tools and settings tab with no luck.

PS I cannot find the manuals for this model on the ricoh website, it's probably too old of a machine

Are you sure you don't mean the Delivery Server? The Document Server is just on board document storage for storing files that an end user can walk out and print out. To set up the Delivery Server requires Scan Router Lite. It's a Scanning solution software that resides on a client computer that connects to the mfp to allow scanning to folder(s) setup on that client device (they-the folders- can be on another computer, but it is restrictive and may not always work). Scan Router is not supported anymore and won't work on anything above XP and Server 2003 (others here may have gotten it to work, but no guarantees). If you've never setup Scan Router before, be warned. It's tricky and requires following the step by step directions. I will let others post links to tutorials and the software (search the forums here -keyword Scan Router, you will probably find everything you need). I'm not even going to comment on the 1224c itself except -RUN FORREST RUN!

*What manuals do you need? Service/Op?

I whole hartedly agree, 1224 is very old and scan router lite is not longer supported at this point. If you are a registered dealer for Ricoh the 1224 manuals are all there still (just checked on the TSRC website), although they will not do you any good with the scan router setup. The "Delivery Server" address has to be changed in SP Modes although i don't recall the exact SP code you need to go under. Best of Luck on this one!!!

I also whole hardily agree with Teebee but for what its worth, SP5845 is where the IP for the Delivery Server resides.

I would skip the whole Scan Router thing and set up scan to email instead.

I'd skip the whole thing and buy a machine which isn't shit.
