    ricoh 3245c jamming 003

jam code 003. first paper feed. this is the only place where it jams. always jams at the same place. paper never leaves the tray. feed rollers have been replaced including the seperator torque. sometimes it works fine and does about 50 prints without any jams.
the other trays work perfectly fine. any ideas?

    Feed clutches?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Check the paper feed drive, worth running in free run. As sometimes the teeth of the tray one paper feed unit gears can be damaged when a customer pulls the paper out to clear a jam.
This then results in intermitternt jams.

Try ab011218 gear-roller clutch, its a one way bearing gear that drives the pickup tire, its on the feed roller shaft, behind the af031049 roller . quick test is to swap it with the one in tray 2

Replace the feed clutch. Extra humidity will cause rust on the clutch linings and the clutch will slip. Replace it or take it apart and clean it.
(taking it apart is not recommended but I've done it).
