    Mpc3000/3500 oil supply roller

This may be a stupid question since the part numbers I have listed are different, but are the oil supply rollers the same for the B222 and B230 color machines? The reason I am asking is because the is a reference to a TSB in my parts list for the roller, and I thought it might just be a part number change. I know the cleaning rollers are the same. I have not had to rebuild either of these fusers till now.

No question is stupid enough to answer.
The part number for the oil supply roller is AE040069 for both machines.

The cleaning roller (AE040066) costs about $3.00 so you should look at it at every EM and replace it rather than attempt to clean it.

One thing I didn't know - the oil supply rollers are only supposed to go in one way, with the arrow pointing towards the belt, not towards you. This makes them fail earlier apparently.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

        Hit it.

The covering on the roller is wrapped in one direction so there is always the possibility that the trailing edge could come loose and get caught if the roller is installed backwards.

The rule of thumb is that the roller is installed so the lettering on the roller is on the same side of the fuser as the drive gears are located.
