    Aficio 470w: problem with soft

    Good afternoon.
    For technical reasons, had to change the PC, which is connected to 470W. Key is stored only on PlotBase, but Scantool only works in demo mode.
    Technical support service Ricoh sent new license keys. Since then the problems started. After adding a new key at startup PlotBase, Scantool with the message:
    Code:
    "Consistency check error"
    After 10 seconds soft crashes and pops up a message:
    Code:
    Visual C Runtime Library
    "... This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way ..."
    Technical support service says that they have the only key. Tell me where to find the problem?

    Most of the software/key problems i've ever had with any wide format can usually be corrected by completely unloading plotbase, move the interface pcb to another ide slot in the pc and reload everything with the new key. If this doesn't work tech support may have given you a wrong key or the interface pcb may have a problem now. I got a few that had weird key issues and they were all 3 the interface pcb, they had a problem with some, mainly the 240w but some others as well. Hope this helps.

      I agree with Bastille.

      Keep in mind that the license key "talks to" the interface card.

      Just don't lose that key before reinstalling! ( I had that happen once - the customer had saved the new key only to the desktop of the PC, and they thought they had it elsewhere.) Not a fun day...

        Thank you! Troubled by the time that the old key works (full license PlotBase, demo-license Scantool). Do not think that the problem can be solved if rearranged fee to another slot. I will try. Ready to try to solve the problem on a new PC.
