Does anyone have an eCopy evaluation key?

Long story... Suffice it to say that I need to get an eCopy connection to Sharepoint up and running by tomorrow. The software is installed and seems to be working, but I can't connect my MFP to eCopy without a license key. I don't have one as of now, and I'm not sure I could get hold of one by tomorrow. The evaluation key would work for 45 days, buying me enough time to get a real key...

So does anyone have one..? I'd be in your debt...

If you have an eCopy "ESPN" login, you can request one online, and get a 45 day trial version in a matter of minutes.

I'm not sure if the SharePoint connector works in a trial copy of ShareScan, as it is an "NFR" connector only. But it does work just fine in an NFP copy.

You can get a SharePoint connector for eCopy PaperWorks, as well.

I never understood what PaperWorks was really... what's the difference to the sharescan suite?

I don't have an ESPN account though I'm not registered as a reseller, my supplier is. I might be able to get a key from them though... I'll see.

PaperWorks is the new name for eCopy Desktop, (version 10).

This was a whole new design, so they renamed the product.

Just pointing out the normal "danger signs", that's all.

It's all up to you.

Just don't forget how "particular" eCopy can be with licensing, especially when moving the software from one PC to another.

It's not that I don't appriciate your warnings KenB, thanks for being considerate. I get that it's quite a complicated software, but wouldn't they be retailers if they sell eCopy? I mean they couldn't have stolen the software, right?

If I could save $500 just buying it from them instead of my alternate source, provided everything works just the same, I'd rather do just that. But then again, if I need support I'd buy it from someone that gives that service for free. It all depends on how adept I am at configuring the software I guess.
