    mp7000

    hi guys
have an mp7000 which has an issue with the waste filling up too fast.
has recently had new dev unit, dev and recycle unit, these apparenlty were not fit for the problem but i wondered if they might cause the waste problem ?

    thanks in advance

By recycle unit what part do you mean? The supply unit that sits on top of the dev tank?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

The toner supply clutch on time is calculated by readings from the TD sensor (replaced with the new dev unit) and ID sensor (check reading is within spec).

I doubt the toner supply clutch is faulty as that would result in light copies / not enough toner being supplied.
And if you where badly over toning the copy quality would be pretty dire with background.

Maybe just try cutting back the toner supply a little.
        2209* Toner Supply Rate
        Adjusts the toner supply rate.
        [50~995/5 mg per sec]
Increasing this value reduces the time the toner supply clutch remains on. Use a
lower value if the user tends to make many copies that have large areas of black.

have upped the bias a little and its also had a td senser recently...........sorry should have said that earlier.
runs in pixel count but eventually goes pale, vt is looking fine ........suspect the drum is old and patch creation is causing probs due to ctl wear........or maybe i am looking into it too deep

No, not the clear part on the top. I mean the toner supply section of the dev unit, the bit with the hole in where the toner falls from the bottle into. If you replace that part, you have to run factory installation mode to get it to fill that unit before it initialises the dev. If that wasn't done, you'll have to strip that unit, vac it out, replace the developer and run the installation mode to get it straight again.
