This unit wont scan from pc. It will let you scan to email but not the other way. On the control panel, the area just to the left where it usually indicates an depiction of an envelope its grayed out. Is there a setting that Im missing somewhwere?

when you say it wont scan from pc are you using the twain driver, or are you trying to push the scan from the copier. I am assuming you are using twain which tells you it cannot detect the scanner. First thing first. If you installed the desktop binder, go into the binder program, under tools, select scanner, and make sure the ricoh twain is selected. If there was a scanner on the computer previously then that one will take presidence. Also check the firewall settings in the protection of the pc. From time to time youll have problems getting through with virus software. Try disabling the software if you get to this point. One last tip, make sure you have the correct twain driver for that model. I hope this helps, and then again, maybe it wont.
