    Request

    Hello,

Does anybody have the software for writing to the old PCMCIA type cards used to update the firmware on older machines please?

I have an MP161 which I believe needs firmware, I have the card but I haven't got the software to put the firmware onto the damned card!

    Thanks,

    Chris

you believe? what kind of issue do you have with this machine? Wich FW versions are now installed on the machine?

I can't recall any major important updates for this one.

I have a copy, send me a pm with your email. It's a zip file about 3.5M

Here's a link to download a 30 day trial version or you can order the CD with the part # G'Man posted.

Thank you everybody for your help on this, I'm sorted as far as the fault goes (it wasn't firmware related after all) and I believe that Teebee's sending me the card reader software.

Not that it matters at this point, but the MP 161 uses an SD card for firmware.

It's predecessor, the 1515, used the PCMCIA card.

The MP161LN uses the PCMCIA-card and the MP161SPF uses the SD-card. I also thought that the PCMCIA-card isn't used with this machine, but you need it when you have an MP161LN.

Is the MP161LN available in the US? I've never seen one before if it is.

You want to hope not, it's a piece of shit with a crappy GDI controller, suitable for home office use only. Now try telling that to a salesman!

Fortunately we only sold 1. We always sell the SPF-version. We often don't even mention the LN-version.
