    [Misc] Ricoh AF2035 problems !!

    Hello

I have a Ricoh AF 2035 and duplex unit is installed but when i want to make 2-2 copies there is nothing in the menu, and when you go to the display " combine/series" to make duplex copy you see only the original 2 sided and in the other hand the copy is only 1 side.

Also you can not make duplex printing.

I do not understand is there any option to activate the duplex unit because the duplex unit is installed in the machine and connected to the copier.

Take the cover off and have a look for one.

Print out the configuration page and it will tell you what is installed (near the top). If it shows the HDD as installed then you have a problem with the duplex unit not being detected. Is there a finisher attached and if so, is it working? If it is then you know the HDD is ok. The HDD is on the controller, pull it out. If you see a drive, is it plugged in? Usually a defective drive will give you an SC error. An unplugged drive will just disable functions that require data storage when scanning (duplex, sort).

Is just the harddrive missing or is the mounting bracket gone too? I've attached the parts page showing what is needed if you have to order the bracket (item 18 plus the screws, bushings and connectors) but a better option is if you have a trashed machine you can pull one out of. A standard off the shelf IDE HD over 40G will work (set it as master), you will just have to format it through service mode once it's installed.
